It has been one heck of a week. After our romp at the 53rd Grammys last weekend we came home to find out just a couple of days later that we have become Youtube Partners. This is a huge honor and we are very grateful to Youtube for allowing us join the ranks of hard working musicians who are using their service as a real promotion and distribution tool in the new music industry. Be sure to check out our revamped page here.
So, how were the Grammys? PRETTY DARN AWESOME! We got to walk the red carpet and mill about with lots of people whom we respect very much at the pre telecast awards. And of course the telecast portion of the evening was a huge production. The only really weird thing is sitting in the Staples Center and hearing the announcer say that we were going to commercial and then… nothing, we are still sitting in a big arena with nothing going on. Everyone at home was being bombarded with high dollar advertisements and I was sitting there looking at Marsh going, “this is kind of strange.” Other than that we all had a great time. The Roots absolutely killed at the after party. Continue reading →
Everyone is still sleeping but I think I can speak for all of us when I say we’re having a great time so far.
Got our Grammy tickets yesterday and met up with some old friends. It’s pretty exciting seeing the red carpet get set up and all. More that later though.
There was a bunch of really awesome looking food trucks down the street from the Staples Center yesterday; hopefully I’ll get to check one (OR A FEW!) out later today. Gotta see how they stack up to my favorite Mogo BBQ truck back home.
Don’t know what the plan for today is just yet but I’ll keep ya posted. Too early to really think straight just yet.
Damn, is it wrong to be craving a short rib burrito before 8:30AM!? Enjoy your burrito! (any Nerdist fans out there?)
Sorry that things have been a little slow on your end since the Ke$ha video and the website overhaul. We’ve been busy handling preparations for the Grammys and deciding the fate of 2011 as far as DUM is concerned. Hope you guys like the new site, it should function a lot better, if you have any questions or encounter any problems please email me.
We are planning on getting a lot accomplished in Los Angeles this weekend and we’ll be sure to shoot a bunch of footage and maybe even take some pictures; since we’ll be dressed up and all. PLUS WE CAN GO TO ROSCOES!!! I really miss that place, and the warm food coma feeling I get when I’m done eating. Yum. I’ll be posting quite a bit more this week so stay tuned folks.
Here it is kiddies, just off the digital press another spastastic cover video to make your head spin. Got a feeling this Ke$ha song is gonna be pretty big. Please feel free to pass it around to your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc.
